Long Term Care Pharmacist In Charge

A respected Long Term Care pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) to lead daily operations and support a high standard of pharmaceutical care. Position Overview:

The Pharmacist In Charge will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pharmacy operations, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. This role requires a visible and hands-on leader capable of fostering a productive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities Include:

Lead pharmacy operations and maintain compliance with laws and policies

Oversee medication preparation, storage, and distribution

Manage quality assurance programs and enforce safe practices

Review prescriptions for legality and accuracy

Support and train staff to achieve performance goals

Maintain proper inventory and ensure safe medication management

Candidate Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of Long Term Care pharmacy experience

Prior experience in a leadership or PIC role

Strong command of pharmacy compliance standards and best practices

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Licensed Pharmacist with a degree from an accredited program

Proficiency in pharmacy software and MS Office
