Inpatient Pharmacist

We are actively seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to join the team at a 150-bed hospital in Elkton, MD. This is a 13-week contract position with strong potential to convert to a permanent role. The facility is ready to move quicklyideal for candidates available to start ASAP.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Elkton, MD

• Start Date: ASAP

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks with potential for contract-to-hire

• Schedule:

  • 8-hour rotating weekday shifts: 6:00 AM2:30 PM, 7:30 AM4:00 PM, 11:00 AM7:30 PM, 1:30 PM10:00 PM

  • Every 3rd weekend rotation with shifts: 7:00 AM3:30 PM, 12:30 PM9:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform standard inpatient duties including order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, and pharmacokinetic monitoring

• Handle controlled substance ordering and monitoring

• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate and effective medication therapy management

• Utilize Cerner and Pyxis systems for order entry and medication distribution

Requirements:

• Active Maryland (MD) pharmacist license

• Recent inpatient hospital experience required

• Prior experience with Cerner and Pyxis systems strongly preferred

• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
