LTC Pharmacist In Charge

Shift Coverage:

1st: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

2nd: 3:00 PM 10:00 PM

3rd: 11:00 PM 7:30 AM

Position Overview:
This role requires a hands-on leader who is visible on the floor, actively engaged with staff, and able to drive productivity and compliance in a fast-paced, high-volume LTC environment. The PIC is responsible for all operational, compliance, staffing, and HR-related functions (no on-site HR support).

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.

• Provide leadership, motivation, and accountability for the pharmacy team.

• Actively engage in staffing, workflow oversight, and issue resolution.

• Serve as the first point of escalation for all HR, operational, and client-related matters.

• Ensure medication safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

• Oversee controlled substances and proper medication storage procedures.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of New York.

• 5-10 years of experience in Long Term Care pharmacy leadership or an LTC staff pharmacist ready to step into leadership.

• Strong team-building and leadership capabilities.

• Proven ability to manage operations in a high-volume, multi-shift environment.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Framework/ECM experience a plus.
