Full Time Long Term Care Pharmacist In Charge - Brighton, NY Soliant Health is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) for a direct hire opportunity with a respected long-term care pharmacy near the Brighton, NY area. This is a pivotal leadership position ideal for a seasoned long-term care professional or a senior staff pharmacist ready to take the next major step in their career.
This site operates 24/7 and processes over 1,800 prescriptions daily. The PIC will oversee all pharmacy operations while maintaining visibility on the floor and ensuring a high-performing, compliant, and collaborative work environment. Setting: Long Term Care
Schedule: Rotating shifts; must be flexible and available to support 1st (7:00 AM 3:30 PM), 2nd (3:00 PM 10:00 PM), and 3rd (11:00 PM 7:30 AM) shifts as needed
Status: Direct Hire
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations and ensure adherence to all state and federal regulations
- Supervise a team of pharmacists, technicians, and administrative staff in a high-volume environment
- Manage HR-related issues directly, escalating to off-site HR Manager when necessary
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and company SOPs
- Promote a culture of safety, accuracy, and patient-centered care
- Maintain visibility and availability on the floor to support and motivate team members
- Foster a collaborative work environment and ensure productivity goals are consistently met
- Support sterile compounding operations, including oversight of clean room for IVs and TPNs
- Serve as a resource for clinical consultation and medication-related decision-making
- Perform on-call responsibilities when required
Required Qualifications: - Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of New York
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in both hospital and retail pharmacy settings
- Prior long-term care leadership experience is required
- Strong familiarity with 24/7 pharmacy operations and staffing needs
- Proven team leadership and staff development abilities
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and pharmacy quality assurance
- Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with pharmacy software; knowledge of Framework or ECM is a plus
