Contract Per Diem Retail Pharmacists - Pittsburgh, PA Soliant Health is seeking experienced Per Diem Retail Pharmacists in Pittsburgh, PA for a unique opportunity with a specialty retail pharmacy. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in patient care, working with individuals who have chronic, advanced disease states, and providing consultation on complex medication therapies.
Key Details:
- Coverage Dates: May 27 and May 30 (will pay for 2 training shifts prior to these dates)
- Time: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Software Used: Pioneer Rx
- Strong retail and/or specialty pharmacy experience is required. Previous specialty pharmacy experience is highly preferred.
- Must be capable of confidently consulting patients with chronic, advanced disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, MS, and other similar conditions.
- Disease state management and consultation skills are a mustthis includes understanding complex medication therapies and how they impact patients with these conditions.
- This pharmacy works with a patient population that includes Medicare/Medicaid and low-income patients, many of whom have low literacy levels. Pharmacists should have compassion, patience, and strong communication skills to effectively educate and counsel patients.
- The pharmacy values patient care over volume, and the ideal candidate will be committed to providing quality care through meaningful consultations and a patient-first approach.
